Certificate III in Individual Support provides a nationally recognised qualification delivered with a specialisation in Aged Care and Home & Community Care, providing our graduates with broader employment opportunities.

This course is for people wishing to work in aged care facilities and the home care sector of the community services industry.

Our courses are designed to provide you with the confidence, knowledge, practical skills and qualifications to work in the following jobs:
– Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
– Home Carer
– Residential Support Worker
– Working with agencies providing support for people with disabilities and older people

Delivery Method:
The course is delivered in the classroom over a period of approximately 28 weeks, 2 days per week,
9.30am – 3.30pm or part time evening courses are delivered over a period of approximately 52 weeks, 2 nights per week 6.15pm to 9.15pm.

There is also a 120-hour work placement component to the course, which is arranged for you by EmployEase and supported by a Mentor.

We specialise in training people who have been out of the workforce or education for a period of time. Our goal is to make your training relevant, inclusive and most importantly, enjoyable and fun.

Training / Career pathways:
Traditionally this course has very high employment outcomes, as this qualification is the minimum requirement for staff under the aged care industry quality framework. Demand for qualified staff outstrips supply.

Several units in this qualification can be credited across to the Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, Certificate IV in Ageing Support or the Certificate IV in Disability. This is a great way to obtain an additional qualification to open up your career opportunities.
