Leisure and health encompasses’ the activities that we engage in for reasons as varied as relaxation, exercise socialisation and simply fun. The programs that you will learn about focus on workplace initiatives that are beyond the scope of clinical care and will work to help you deliver collaborative, recreational and health related activities.
Recreation plays a large role in the Aged Care and Disability sectors of our community, contributing to positive health and well-being outcomes for people accessing services. You may work with all ages ranging from the young and fit, the elderly, active, and those living with disabilities or physical restrictions, inside or outside.
Workers may be in residential facilities and/or in community agencies and day centres, completing specialised tasks and functions in relation to leisure and health.
