Overview

CHC62015 Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management
This high-level qualification is designed for those who already work in the community sector and are now seeking to upskill to a Coordinator or Middle Management position. Successful completion of this qualification will enable the student to access employment opportunities which require them to be responsible for planning and monitoring service delivery against organisational goals and strategic directions; recruitment and performance management of other paid or unpaid workers; managing risk and contributing to continuous improvement within the scope of their specific role. This may include management of a specific program or project or the management of a service.

Delivery method
This qualification is delivered in the classroom over an approximate 10 month period. Classes are face to face 1 day per week, augmented by online assessment and outstanding resources. Full course timetable is available upon request.
Entry requirements
To gain entry into this course, candidates must:
- be a minimum of 18 years of age
- be currently employed in the Community Services sector for a minimum of two (2) years and be working at least 15 hours (2 days) per week
- successful completion of a Minimum AQF Certificate IV qualification within the past five (5) years (or evidence of formal study combined with significant and current industry experience)
- demonstrate Language, Literacy and Numeracy at minimum ACSF Level IV
- moderate to high level computer skills
Candidates must also have:
- verified access to an on-site Workplace Mentor who holds a Coordination or Management level position
- verified access to workplace documentation including organisational policies, procedures, systems, resources and equipment
- opportunities for interaction in a leadership role
- direct access to: Word, internet and email
