Course Overview
Are you thinking about becoming an Enrolled Nurse? The HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing is a Nationally Recognised qualification that gives students the skills and knowledge to work as an Enrolled Nurse in the healthcare industry. EmployEase is accredited as an approved provider of this qualification by the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
The Diploma of Nursing course will see students train in important areas of anatomy and physiology, critical infection control, and aspects of medication administration to work confidently in a diverse range of healthcare settings such as aged care, hospital settings, rehabilitation centres, acute care, and mental health as an Enrolled Nurse (EN).
Learning with EmployEase is completed in the classroom and through simulation across our facilities. The course also incorporates aspects of clinical placement to help trainees best advance their skills in the work environment. You will be placed at a supported facility to assist in completing all necessary placement requirements for the Diploma of Nursing.

Training / Career Pathways
Upon successful completion of this program and following professional registration with AHPRA, graduates may seek employment as Enrolled Nurses (EN). As an EN, you can work across a wide range of allied health environments. In many cases, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or another medical professional. Alternatively, if you seek more autonomy in the workplace and greater responsibility, you might wish to pursue further study at an Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s level in the Healthcare sector. For example, the Bachelor of Nursing, which will see you qualified as a Registered Nurse.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you are qualified to work within a broad scope of healthcare settings. Following the completion of your Diploma of Nursing, you’ll have the freedom to choose between working in a larger team in a hospital setting, or in a quieter environment in private practice with more regularity in the clients you see. Some Enrolled Nurses also choose to specialise in a particular niche within the healthcare industry to explore new and exciting development opportunities.
