COVID-19 update: as face to face learning becomes more difficult throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the first 6-12 weeks of this course are delivered online, meaning you can study from the comfort of your own home with virtual assistance from your dedicated trainer.
HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing
Are you thinking about becoming an Enrolled Nurse? The HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing is an 18-month course which gives students the skills, experience and knowledge to become a fully qualified Enrolled Nurse (EN).
Accredited by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulating Authority (AHPRA), this Nationally Recognised qualification is the essential course for anyone who wants to start a meaningful career in the Healthcare sector.
Delivery method
The program is delivered over a period of 18 months using a combination of:
- Face to face theory/practical classes/tutorials, 9am to 4pm (3-4 days per week).
- Clinical Simulation laboratories, temporarily some are held at ANMF in Melbourne.
- 450 hours of Workplace Clinical Placement across five (5) rotations, each 5 days per week, shifts may include morning and afternoons in line with facility requirements. There may be a requirement for placement to take place in a regional area. In this case, accommodation, food and drink will be at the student’s expense.
- Self-directed learning
- Online learning activities including formative activities
The HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing Training and/or Assessment services are delivered as part of a sub-contacting arrangement with Healthscope Operations Pty Ltd.
Practical placement
EmployEase arranges 450 hours of practical work placement as part of the course. This clinical placement gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned to real-life scenarios. Increasingly, employers are looking for people with experience as well as academic achievements so this gives students a head start.
Earn and learn internship program
Students can earn a wage while they study with EmployEase’s hands-on internship program. After completing 15 weeks of classroom and simulation learning, EmployEase’s exclusive partnership with Healthcare Australia means students may be eligible to pick up paid shifts as a Personal Care Attendant.
