Entry Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age before undertaking their first clinical placement in the course.
  • Provide documented evidence of meeting the English language skills registration standard outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia prior to their enrolment.
  • Have language, literacy and numeracy skills that are up to standard of level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF)
  • Complete a police Check with no disclosures (an annual requirement)
  • Have a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Provide their Immunisation records as per the Victorian Department of Health Immunisation requirements for health workers, risk Category A (e.g. influenza, hepatitis A, B, C,D, TB etc.).
  • Are vaccinated for Covid in line with current requirements pertaining to Aged Care facilities
  • Attend a panel interview as part of the selection process (consideration will be given to the candidate’s ability to meet the inherent requirements of working as an enrolled nurse).
