We recently caught up with Ari, where he shares his journey, challenges, and aspirations as a nursing student.
How was your experience studying with EmployEase?
My experience with EmployEase was nothing short of fantastic, despite its challenges. The motto, ‘every gift we receive is wrapped in a problem,’ resonates deeply with me.
The hurdles I faced allowed me to uncover valuable lessons and personal growth. I look back at my time there with great fondness, cherishing the memories and lessons learned.
The teachers at EmployEase were not just educators but mentors and role models, passionately instilling a love for nursing that I will carry forward.
Their support was like that of a family, especially when I, as many others, faced personal issues alongside our studies.
What’s your career path looking like, now that you’ve graduated?
In terms of my career path post-graduation, I’m currently weighing up several exciting options. I’m exploring some graduate year opportunities and focused on further studies towards becoming a RN.
My recent experience post graduation, I traveled abroad and was fortunate to explore an opportunity to volunteer in a community clinic in South East Asia, I found this eye-opening.
It allowed me to witness firsthand the contrast in healthcare delivery across boarders.
Interestingly, this experience has not only broadened my perspective on healthcare but also ignited an unexpected passion for paediatrics, a field I previously thought would be my last choice in nursing.
What advice would you give to others who are thinking of being a nurse?
For those considering nursing as a career, remember that the challenges are part of the journey. They push you out of your comfort zone, but the growth and fulfilment that follow are unparalleled.
The practical experiences during placements are transformative, providing real-world experiences that truly make the profession gratifying. This is where you’ll pinch yourself and realize ‘this is real, I’m actually doing this.’
Nursing has offered me, as it will you a unique sense of accomplishment in making a difference in the lives of others.
Lastly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Charlotte George, Melissa Beckett, Wayne Pelling, Saravpreet Kaur, Margaret Campbell, Jaymee Williamson, Raje Rajasekaran, and Julie Blake. Their guidance and support have been invaluable, and I hold each of them in the highest regard.
To all at EmployEase, my heartfelt thanks, respect, and love.
Thank you again for this opportunity to reflect and share.
Warm regards,
Ari Capa
